Scala Films

More than just a production house
Scala films is a commitment!

Scala Films is more than just a production house; it is a commitment. The company was created out of my desire to support both established and emerging authors and directors in bringing their projects to life.

Just like the "Scala Project" that was launched in collaboration with Frédéric Biessy in 2018, which encompasses La Scala Paris, La Scala Provence, Scala Music label, Scala Films is open to all genres and forms of art. It serves as a vessel for all thoughts and currents that flow through and inspire artistic creation.

Independence
& freedom

This ambitious project, for which I ensure complete independence, emphasizes freedom of choice and action. Scala Films equips artists with the necessary tools such as residency and writing spaces, as well as screening and presentation venues. A new chapter in the company's story has already begun with CG Cinéma, with whom Scala Films has partnered on various promising projects, including Kirill Serebrennikov's upcoming film, the Disappearance.

The first chapter of Scala Films is written under the starry auspices of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with three films in competition:

  • Filmlovers!, Arnaud Desplechin (2024 Official selection: Special screening)
  • Misericordia, Alain Guiraudie (2024 Official selection : Cannes Première)
  • It's not me Leos Carax (20242 Official selection: Cannes Première)
